In this type of meditation, the meditator stills the thoughts and settles the mind on an object of concentration, for example the breath. The aim here is to achieve stillness of the body and mind.
02. Contemplative meditation or analytical investigation. (Vipassana)
Once the mind is quiet analysis that is not the product of some conditioning, agitation, or deliberation can be entered into.
