According to the belief of the Jains, the Jaina religion is eternal and it has been revealed again and again, in every one of the endless succeeding periods of the world, by innumerable Tirthankaras or Jinas. These are Omniscient teachers of the Path of Salvation (Ahimsa Dharma). The word Jaina is derived from Jina, the conqueror. Those who follow their teachings are called Jains.

01. RSABHA (or ADINATHA).

Represented by the bull.

02. AJITA.

Represented by the elephant.

03. SAMBHAVA.

Represented by the horse.

04. ABHINANDANA.

Represented by the monkey.

05. SUMATI.

Represented by the heron.

06. PADMAPRABHA.

Represented by the padma.

07. SUPARSVA.

Represented by the swastika.

08. CHANDRA PRABHA.

Represented by the crescent moon.

09. SUVIDHI (or PUSPADANTA).

Represented by the crocodile.

10. SITALA.

Represented by the shrivatsa.

11. SREUMSA (or SREYAN).

Represented by the rhinoceros.

12. VASUPUYJA.

Represented by the buffalo.

13. VIMALA.

Represented by the boar.

14. ANANTA (or ANANTAJIT).

Represented by the falcon.

15. DHARMA.

Represented by the vajra.

16. SANTI.

Represented by the deer.

17. KUNTHU.

Represented by the goat.

18. ARA.

Represented by the fish.

19. MALLI.

Represented by the kalasha.

20. SUVRATA (or MUNI SUVRAM).
