01. Mahabala or Mahākāla. (Skt. Mahābala; Tib. Tob Chen) in union with Külchema (Skt. Vajrāveśī).
Located at the Nadir, the smoke coloured Mahabala carries a hammer and wooden pestle.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being green, the left yellow and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a hammer and the left an pestle.
The consort of Mahabala is Do-rje bskul-byad (Vajravesi). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a tawny bear and the killer with that of a rat.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Mahabala and his retinue, the faults of conceit are abandoned and the power of joyful aspiration is gained. May the perfection of morality (sila) arise!
02. Humkara. (Skt. Huṃkāra) in union with Dorje Drajin Ma (Wyl. rdo rje sgra byin ma).
Located at the zenith is dark blue and carries a vajra and a bell.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being white, the left blue and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a bow and the left an arrow.
The consort of Humkara is sGra-'byin (Sabdavajra). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a pig and the killer with that of a lizard.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Hurpkara, his consort, and their assistant pisacis, the faults of realationship misconduct are abandoned and one gains mastery of the process of birth. May the pure understanding of the perfection of jhana arise!
03. Vijaya or Krodhavijaya. (Skt. Vijaya; Tib. Namgyal; Wyl. rnam rgyal) in union with Dorje Nyem Ma (Tib.).
Located in the East, the dark blue Vijaya carries an iron hook and fly whisk (camara).
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being red, the left green and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a trident and the left a discus.
The consort of Vijaya is rNam-snyems (Saunini). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a tiger and the killer with that of a vulture.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Krodhavijaya and his retinue, the faults of taking what was not given are
abandoned and power over material possessions is gained. May the perfection of wisdom (prajna) arise!
04. Niladanda. (Skt. Nīladaṇḍa; Tib. Yuk Ngön; Wyl. dbyug pa sngon po) in union with Dorje Dermo (Wyl. rdo rje sder mo).
Located in the South-East, the blue Niladanda carries a staff (danda) and heap of fire.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being white, the left red and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a club and the left a mass of fire.
The consort of Nindala is Do-rje sder-mo. To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a yak and the killer with that of a crow.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Niladanda and his retinue, the faults of wrong view are abandoned and
mastery of wisdom is gained. May the perfection of skill in means (upaya) arise!
05. Yamantaka. (Skt. Yamāntaka; Tib. Shinjé; Wyl. gshin rje gshed) in union with Durtrö Dakmo (or Dorje Dur Trö Dak; Skt. Śmāśānikā).
Located in the South, the dark green Yamantaka carries a staff and battle axe.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being black, the left blue and the central vajra-conch colored with the right and left hands holding clubs.
The consort of Yamantaka is Dur-khrod bdag-mo (Smasanika). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a stag and the killer with that of an owl.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Yamantaka and his retinue, the faults of taking life are abandoned and the power to prolong one's lifespan is gained. May the perfection of meditation (dhyana) arise!
06. Arya Achala. (Skt. Ārya Acala; Tib. Miyowa; Wyl. mi g.yo ba) in union with Dorje Tün Khung Ma (Skt. Vajramūśikā).
Located in the South West, the dark blue Acala carries a sword and noose.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being red, the left maroon and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a razor and the left a noose.
The consort of Acala is of rDo-rje gtun-khung (Vajramusika). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a leopard and the killer with that of a raven.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Arya Acala and his retinue, the faults of speaking lies are abandoned and the power of prayer is gained. May the perfection of patience (ksanti) arise!
07. Hayagriva. (Skt. Hayagrīva; Tib. Tamdrin; Wyl. rta mgrin) in union with Dorje Tummo (Skt. Vajracaṇḍikā).
Located in the West and manifests the purity of body, the dark red Hayagriva carries a lotus and snake.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being blue, the left white and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a sword and the left a noose.
The consort of Hayagriva is rDo-rje gtum-mo (Vajracandali). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a cat and the killer with that of a hoopoe bird.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Hayagriva and his retinue, the faults of slander are abandoned and mastery of Dharma is gained. May the perfection of enthusiastic perseverance (virya) arise!
08. Aparajita. (Skt. Aparājita; Tib. Dö Gyal) in union with Dorje Da Nyem Ma (Wyl. rdo rje mda snyems).
Located in the North west, the white Aparajita carries a vajra and discus (cakra).
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being yellow, the left green and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding an engign or flag trident and the left a fan.
The consort of Aparjita is rDo-rje mda' -snyems. To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a wolf and the killer with that of a hawk.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Aparajita and his retinue, the faults of foolish prattle are abandoned and supremacy of mental ability is gained. May the perfection of generosity (dana) arise!
09. Amritakundali or Amrtakundalin. (Skt. Amṛtakuṇḍalī; Tib. Düdtsi Khyilwa; Wyl. bdud rtsi khyil ba) in union with Lungchin (or Düdtsi Lung Jin Ma; Skt. Vāyuvegā).
Located in the North and represents the purity of touch, the dark green Amritakundali carries a
visvavajra and a club.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being white, the left yellow and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a visvavajra and the left a bell.
The consort of Amritakundali is rLung-'byin-ma (Vayuvega). To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a lion and the killer with that of a bat.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Amrtakundalin and his retinue, the faults of abusive speech are abandoned and mastery of ritual activity is achieved. May the perfection of prayer (pranidhana) arise!
10. Trilokavijaya. (Skt. Trailokyavijaya; Tib. Kham Sum Namgyal) in union with Dorje Söché Ma (Wyl. gsod byed ma; Skt. Ghātakā).
Located in the North East, the yellow Trailokyavijaya carries a vajra and trident.
When represented as a Dasakrodha King there may be three faces the right one being yellow, the left red and the central vajra-conch colored with the right hand holding a khra dong, kha tram, kha dong or and kha tong and the left a discus.
The consort of Trailokavijaya is gSod-byed-ma. To their right and left stand the devourer with the head of a red bear and the killer with that of a weasel.
Due to receiving the empowerments of Trailokyavijaya and his retinue, the faults of malice are abandoned and mastery of miracle power is gained. May the perfection of strength (bala) arise!
