01. Apas/Varuna/Jala (आप or water).
In Buddhism, the texts state, thus, the Lord in the first Samādhi became resonant with the sound “Dveṣarati” which transformed itself into the form of his own queen and was placed on his own seat.
02. Prithvi/Bhudevi (पृथ्वी or earth).
In Buddhist texts, a sound or mantra of “Moharati” takes the shape of a goddess located in the eastern direction (or South) as the queen of Vairocana.
03. Akasha/Dyaus (आकाश or space atmosphere or ether).
According to Buddhist texts space is represented by Vajradhatuishvari, a figure that is nearly equivalent to Samantabhadri in the 'New Translation' or Sarma schools is Vajradhatuishvari; she is dark blue and her consort is Vajradhara.
04. Agni (अग्नि or fire).
From the Buddhist texts, next in another Samādhi the Lord became vibrant with the sound “Rāgarati” which soon took the concrete shape of a goddess and was placed in the western direction as the queen of Amitābha.
05. Vayu (वायु or air), wind.
From the Buddhist texts, then in a further meditation the Lord became resonant with the sound “Vajrarati” which took the concrete shape of a goddess and was placed in the northern direction as the queen of Amoghasiddhi.
