The Eight Dakini Of A Buddhist Mandala - List

The Dakini is a female representation of a principle and are the most revered manifestation in Tibetan Buddhism.
She is powerful enough to fly in the air, hence her name. In Tantric Buddhism, the Dakini are the representations of wisdom and compassion and are the female embodiment of enlightenment.
Dakini are spiritually advanced, highly powerful and can function variously as protectors, benefactors and meditational deities. They are associated with dynamic energy and are often invoked by believers to assist with spiritual development and transformation.
Dakini may be invoked individually or in combination with other similar representations. Their natures may be peaceful or wrathful, and some Dakini can manifest themselves in multiple forms.

The Eight Dakini Of A Buddhist Mandala

01. Kākāsyā.

Represents one of the four perfections and sits at the first of the four gates of a mandala. Oṃ, O Kākāsyā, hūṃ hūṃ
phaṭ, svāhā.

02. Ulūkāsyā.

Represents one of the four perfections and sits at the second of the four gates of a mandala. Oṃ, O Ulūkāsyā, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.

03. Śvānāsyā.

Represents one of the four perfections and sits at the third of the four gates of a mandala. Oṃ, O Śvānāsyā, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.

04. Sūkarāsyā.

Represents one of the four perfections and sits at the forth of the four gates of a mandala. Oṃ, O Śūkarāsyā, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.

05.Yamadāḍhī.

Represents one of the four noble truths and sits at the first of the four corners of a mandala. Oṃ, Yamadāḍhī, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.

06.Yamadūtī.

Represents one of the four noble truths and sits at the second of the four corners of a mandala. Oṃ, Yamadūtī, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.

07.Yamadaṃṣṭriṇī.

Represents one of the four noble truths and sits at the third of the four corners of a mandala. Oṃ, Yamadaṃṣṭriṇī, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.

08.Yamamathanī.

Represents one of the four noble truths and sits at the fourth of the four corners of a mandala. Oṃ, Yamamathanī, hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā.
