The Apostles Creed is a simple confirmation of Christian belief. The Apostles Creed is widely used by many Western churches, particularly for baptisms.

The Apostles creed, dates back to about a.d. 400, and is thought to be ascribed to Christs apostles, having widespread acceptance in the Christian church.
There are two forms the Old Roman Form and the received form. The old Roman Form is given from the Greek of Marcellus, of Ancyra, 341 AD, a Latin form follows and is given by Rufinus about 390 AD who compares it with the creed of his own church of Aquileia. The received form assumed almost its present shape by the time of Faustus of Reiz, about 460 AD. The Creed, or symbol, is named the creed of the Apostles as it is made of twelve articles, it is believed God inspired each of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus to write one article.
