The Apostles creed, dates back to about a.d. 400, and is thought to be ascribed to Christs apostles, having widespread acceptance in the Christian church.
There are two forms the Old Roman Form and the received form. The old Roman Form is given from the Greek of Marcellus, of Ancyra, 341 AD, a Latin form follows and is given by Rufinus about 390 AD who compares it with the creed of his own church of Aquileia. The received form assumed almost its present shape by the time of Faustus of Reiz, about 460 AD. The Creed, or symbol, is named the creed of the Apostles as it is made of twelve articles, it is believed God inspired each of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus to write one article.

The Apostles Creed

02. GOD THE SON : And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only:begotten, Begotten of the Father before all ages.

03. GOD THE SON : Light of Light, True God of True God, Begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made.

04. GOD THE SON : Who for us men and for our salvation came down from the heavens, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man; And was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried.

05. GOD THE SON : And rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures.

06. GOD THE SON : And ascended into the heavens, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father.

07. GOD THE SON : And shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead, Whose kingdom shall have no end.
